Clothing Ministry
  • Collecting clothing for those in need is vitally important. A person's sense of self-esteem is tied into how they look. Everyone deserves to have decent, clean clothing to wear.

  • We collect and provide clothing for everyone - men, women, and children.

  • We provide everything we can, from winter coats and shoes to everyday clothing.

Pantry Storage
The Food Pantry and Food Delivery to the Elderly
  • Since opening our Food Pantry on May 1st, 2014, we have recorded over 12,000 visitors as of September 2020. These visitors represent over 67,000 individuals in our community who received needed food and toiletry items!!!

  • In 2019, we recorded 124,132 pounds of food distributed to our neighbors-in-need.

  • From January to September 2020 we have distributed 157,161 pounds of food!

  • Due to the virus pandemic we have gone from serving 40-50 visitors per Thursday evening to over 110 average visitors on Thursday evenings. AND we began delivering food and toiletry items to the elderly and disabled early in 2020, when the need for this service arose.

  • Heart of Hope delivers to an average of 30 elderly and disabled residents in the Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Silvis, and Milan neighborhoods weekly! We have two dedicated teams that have become “angels of hope” to these most vulnerable members of our society!

Youth Programs
  • We conduct Youth Programs for neighborhood kids, many from African and Asian refugee families with severely limited finances. Thanks to generous grants, Heart of Hope has been able to show them hope and joy, and helped their education by providing laptops, bikes, school supplies and clothing.

Note: Due to COVID-19, Youth Programs are currently on hold.
